TEF Pills #2: Proteggere il lago Sibolla attraverso la biodiversità e l’artigianato tradizionale

Connecting community, heritage, and conservation: join us in Florence on August 26 for an eco-aperitivo dedicated to Tuscany’s vital wetlands.

Tuscany Environment Foundation (TEF) is pleased to announce the second edition of “Pillole di TEF”, taking place on Wednesday, August 26, at 7:00 PM in the lush setting of Serre Torrigiani in Florence.

This evening’s spotlight will be on the Lake Sibolla and Padule di Fucecchio Nature Reserve – a fragile wetland ecosystem harboring extraordinary biodiversity. During the event, we will present a TEF-supported project designed to safeguard these delicate habitats while reviving the ancient craft of marsh herb weaving. This traditional knowledge serves as a powerful bridge between cultural heritage, community engagement, and environmental awareness.

Speakers

  • Laura Lo Presti, Director of Tuscany Environment Foundation

  • Alessio Bartolini, Lipu – Lake Sibolla Nature Reserve Manager

  • Sabrina Guzzoletti (Moderator), Director of Seeds of Florence
