The Essence of Tuscany: An Evening of Art, Design and Nature in Support of TEF
Su 17 September 2026, Tuscany Environment Foundation (TEF) will be at the heart of The Essence of Tuscany, an exhibition and immersive sound experience bringing the spirit of the Tuscan landscape to London.
Hosted at Roca London Gallery, the evening will bring together art, design, architecture and music in support of the protection of Tuscany’s natural heritage. Beautifully curated artworks, each generously donated by the artist who created it, will celebrate the light, colours and landscapes of Tuscany— from cypress-lined ridges and ochre fields to the warm golden light of late afternoon.
Every artwork featured in the exhibition is also available to bid for through the online auction, allowing people to take part from anywhere in the world. All proceeds from the sales will go directly to TEF, supporting its work to protect and restore Tuscany’s ecosystems and strengthen the resilience of the region’s natural heritage.
The evening will also feature an original spatial sound composition by James Mason, with the voice of singer PLUMM, created specifically to accompany the artworks and transform the gallery into an immersive experience.
A special conversation will see renowned British architect, designer and author Nigel Coates in dialogue with Daniel Gava, exploring landscape, memory and the relationship between creativity and the works on display. Coates, who works between London and Montalcino, brings a longstanding connection with Italy and a practice that brings together architecture, art, narrative and culture.
The setting itself adds another layer to the experience. Located beside the Thames at Imperial Wharf, Roca London Gallery was designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, with a flowing white interior inspired by the movement of water — a fitting backdrop for an evening centred on landscape, creativity and the natural world.
The Essence of Tuscany is presented in support of Tuscany Environment Foundation. As a member of the international Collettivo di Conservazione network, TEF identifies promising grassroots projects and supports them through funding, expertise and partnerships.
The event was born from and idea of Jo Love – Love Design Studio. It’s sponsored by Yarrh Studio e Arcitile UK, with the patronage of ENIT – Italian National Tourist Board e il Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the UK. And the media partnership of London One Radio.
Whether experienced in the gallery or through the online auction, The Essence of Tuscany offers an opportunity to celebrate the places that inspire us — and to help protect them for generations to come.
