Marevivo completes it’s recovery operations on Giglio

Ed Cutler and the Marevivo dive team pose with some of the objects recovered from the dives on Giglio

Marevivo have completed the recovery dive operations as part of the TEF-funded Giglio Blue Island initiative. Objects received included a 450kg abandoned fishing net, mattresses, truck tyres, boat batteries and various other discarded items posing a threat to the underwater ecosystem of Giglio. The dive team, led by the indefatigable Max Falleri, are a highly skilled group of technical divers, and these operations take time and technical know-how to carry out properly. These guys are the best in the business and TEF was proud to be on hand and underwater with them watching them work. Let’s hope it’s the start of a new long term relationship with Marevivo and their operations in Tuscany.
