TALAMONE project press conference

On 18th of July, in Talamone (municipality of Orbetello, province of Grosseto), a press conference organised by @bsrc_ was held to launch the new project funded by TEF:

T.A.L.A.M.O.N.E. “Tutela e Analisi del Litorale con Attività Marine Organizzate nell’Ecologia”

Speakers present: Monia Renzi, scientific advisor at the BsRC research centre, Laura Lo Presti, director of TEF, Josephine de Chazournes, founding member of TEF, and Senator Roberto Berardi, representative of the municipality of Orbetello lagoon, public works and civil protection.

Started in june, the project’s main objectives are:

• Protect the Posidonia oceanica seagrass meadow in Talamone Bay,

• Actively engage citizens, local stakeholders, and tourists in creating a Local Collaboration Network based on awareness.

The project follows a One Health approach, integrating environmental, human, and social health to promote sustainable development that balances ecological preservation with community well-being and territorial enhancement.
