Celebrating Biodiversity Conservation & Youth Engagement 🦎

We are still excited about the conference “Biodiversity Conservation and Youth Engagement”, which took place on February 5th in Florence at the Auditorium Innovation Center of Fondazione CR Firenze, whom we warmly thank for hosting us.

It was a valuable day to share the wetland restoration journey in the Sant’Antonio Forest and to highlight the value of this project — not only for biodiversity conservation, but also as a space for genuine youth leadership and engagement.

Thank you to everyone who took part, and in particular we would like to thank: Lugi Paccosi (Cesvot President), Tuscany Region, Bernard Dika (Sottosegretario alla Presidenza della Regione Toscana), Serena Spinelli (Consigliere Regionale della Toscana), Andrea Gennai (Head of the Parco delle Foreste Casentinesi), i Carabinieri Forestali, Franco Tassi (Director of PNALM) Elena Tricarico (researcher in the Department of Biology at the University of Florence) e Nicolò Pellecchia (Expert Herpetologist).

And last but not least, a special thank you goes to the young volunteers of Gruppo Perché No and Effetto Foresta, whose commitment, passion and energy made this project possible 💚
