Dinner in the Garden: Supporting Nature Together at Podere Arduino

On June 13, we experienced a truly special evening in the heart of Bolgheri, surrounded by the authentic beauty of Podere Arduino, on the occasion of the first Cena nell’orto (Dinner in the Garden) of the 2026 season, organised together with Podere Arduino, Osteria Ancestrale and Bolgheri Green in support of Tuscany Environment Foundation.

The event successfully brought together conviviality, regenerative agriculture and a tangible commitment to protecting Tuscany’s natural ecosystems, reaffirming the importance of creating opportunities where people, nature and local communities can come together, connect and grow.

The evening began with a tour of the farm, walking through the vegetable garden rows, beneath the shade of the mulberry trees and into the area dedicated to pollinators. Guests were introduced to the story of Podere Arduino and its choice of an organic-regenerative farming model, designed to restore soil fertility and enhance biodiversity. It is a place where one can truly experience what it means to create an ecosystem in which humans live in harmony with nature, actively contributing to its regeneration.

This was followed by a talk by permaculture expert Lorenzo Costa, who offered valuable insights into the importance of embracing a systemic and regenerative vision—one that increasingly reconnects agriculture with authentic, nourishing food while respecting natural balances.

Guests then gathered around a long table set among the gardens for an exceptional dinner, during which chefs Fabrizio Bartoli and Gherardo “Barù” Gaetani transformed the fruits of the land into a memorable culinary journey rich in authentic flavours, celebrating local produce and seasonal ingredients.

A special contribution also came from Tenuta San Carlo, which joined the evening by donating its organic rice and further strengthening the network of meaningful collaborations that enhance and celebrate our region.

Part of the proceeds from the dinner will support Tuscany Environment Foundation’s projects dedicated to protecting and enhancing Tuscany’s biodiversity and its marine and terrestrial natural ecosystems.

Our heartfelt thanks go to everyone who took part. Evenings like this remind us that protecting nature is a collective journey: it grows from shared values, care for the land, and the awareness that the truest beauty can only be preserved together.
