Let’s protect forests and wetlands!

On Saturday 19 July, in the council chamber of the ancient town hall of Reggello, during the ‘Festival of Associations” together with @gruppo. perche.no, we presented the biodiversity project in the 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚 𝐝𝐢 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭’ 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐨, 𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚 𝟐𝟎𝟎𝟎.

• Thanks to Enrico Fiordiponti for illustrating the wetland restoration project and how it will be carried out.
• Thanks to Nicolò Pellecchia, herpetologist, for scientifically explaining the role of wetlands and how they can combat hydrogeological instability.
• Thanks to Laki and Lorenzo for their genuine testimony of environmental activism.
• Mayor Piero Giunti and Councillor Adele Bartolini were present, both staunch supporters of the protection of natural areas as a resource for the community.

The first concrete excavation work will begin in mid-August.
