Florence, event on the knowledge of the Wolf

From the Tuscan capital, last Wednesday our first major public event of 2025 took place: getting to know the Wolf.
A topic that has stirred the debate of recent months, an animal that fascinates and scares, the Wolf, the large carnivore that inhabits our imagination like the villain of fairy tales and that is returning to its territories of origin, bringing conflicts and responsibilities for coexistence with man.
The great participation that filled the Giunti Odeon hall in Florence, an audience of all ages (yes! Even many young people) and backgrounds that showed up on Wednesday evening to see the documentary and listen to the debate, confirms how much the topic is of public interest.
The initiative we organized was possible thanks to
our sponsors to whom we owe a special thanks,
and to 4 passionate, informed speakers, capable of making us reflect:
Professor Luigi Boitani, a beacon of knowledge among the confused waves,
Francesca Barzagli, an empathetic breeder who embodies the experience,
Alessio Bariviera, who through the documentary was able to choose symbolic messengers,
and Francesco Romito, a tireless weaver of hope for the coexistence of ecosystems
Further thanks
to the very kind staff of Giunti Odeon
to the very welcome Green Go catering
to @giulia who donated the floral composition,
last but not least, to the volunteers who left their ordinary occupations to rush to Florence and ensure that the organization was impeccable
The hope is that the requests formulated from the stage and crossed with the audience, are listened to, that there can be greater discussion between political decision-makers and all the stakeholders, that we can listen to the voice of scientists who study how coexistence with wildlife works and that, beyond the alarmism, we can spread correct information and moments of in-depth analysis like this one.
