Biodiversity

Tuscany is a true biodiversity hotspot, giving refuge to rare and unique species. But these ecosystems are pushed to the limit by human activity and climate change, with unsustainable farming and poorly managed forestry putting them at a breaking point.

TEF targets the core drivers of biodiversity loss on land by funding habitat restoration, human-wildlife conflict mitigation, and standardized citizen science monitoring. By supporting local partners and on-the-ground initiatives, TEF helps conserve and regenerate habitats, reduce pressures on ecosystems, and advance sustainable practices that enable people and nature to thrive together for generations to come.
