Sustainable Resource Management

From the ancient beech woodlands of the Apennines to the forests of Monte Amiata, Tuscany guards some of Europe’s best-preserved woodlands.

TEF works  to protect and restore these ecosystems, implementing sustainable forest management and restoring wetlands to support local biodiversity. Our commitment extends to restoring heritage features like dry-stone walls, building natural resilience against soil erosion while creating vital micro-habitats for native species. We also support Nature-Based Solutions that combine traditional craftsmanship and ecological restoration to regenerate Tuscan wetland habitats, fostering biodiversity and climate resilience.
